Open fires are prohibited per the community rules and New York State Law.
Open fires include:
- Camp fires
- Fire pits
- Brush/leaf burning
New York State issues minimum $500 fine per infraction to this law, even for a first offense! (source)
Residents are advised to contact the Police/Marilla Fire Department at 911 if you see anyone on the premises starting/tending any fires. You may also submit a tip to NYSDEC online.
